Metinvest is a Ukrainian steel company. The core of the Metinvest Group is the holding company Metinvest BV, based in The Hague . The management company Metinvest Holding LLC is based in Mariupol . The majority of the Metinvest Group is owned by the holding company SCM Limited of the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov .

The group includes the Azov Steel Metallurgical Combine and the Ilyich Metallurgical Combine in Mariupol, as well as other steel and rolling mills in the Ukraine, Bulgaria, Italy and the United Kingdom. Coal and iron ore mining companies, several coking plants and a freight shipping company also belong to the group. With a production volume of 7.3 million tons of crude steel and a turnover of 11.9 billion US dollars in 2018, Metinvest is one of the largest commercial enterprises in Ukraine and the largest steel producers worldwide.

Metinvest was founded in 2006 to bundle the mining, steelmaking and tube production divisions of SCM.
