Metropolitan Correctional Center, San Diego

The Metropolitan Correctional Center, San Diego ( MCC San Diego ) is a US federal prison in downtown San Diego, California . It is located at the Federal courthouse , California's federal court. It was put into operation on November 11, 1974.

MCC San Diego is a facility that can accept male and female federal prisoners at any security level. The building has 1,300 prison places.
