Mhangura

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mhangura , also Mangula, is a 1100 m high place with about 2,000 inhabitants (2006) in the province of Mashonaland West in Zimbabwe 40 km north of the city of Chinhoyi .

The city is located on the western edge of an intensely built-up agricultural area, one of the country's granaries. The location is determined by the nearby copper mine and the processing of 600,000 tons of ore per year. Funding has currently collapsed in the political turmoil, as the Zimbabwe Standard reported on May 21, 2006. Since this mine is 70 percent controlled by the state, the World Bank's proposals for privatization will probably fade away.
