Micha Gross (* 1959 ) is co-founder and director of the Bauhaus Center Tel Aviv . Gross has headed the center since it was founded in 2000. He has published several books on the subject of Bauhaus in Tel Aviv, designed exhibitions and he regularly gives lectures at conferences around the world.

biography

1990 studied psychology at the University of Zurich, doctorate at Technion Haifa, Israel, from 1990 to 1994 as a research assistant at the Psychological Institute of the University of Zurich.

In 1992 Gross founded together with Asher Ben-Shmuel the first private diagnostic sleep laboratory in the city of Fluntern, the center for sleep medicine.

In 1994 Gross moved to Tel Aviv, Israel.

2000 co-founder of the "Bauhaus Center Tel Aviv". Since then head of the center, which seeks national and international recognition of the " White City Tel Aviv " as a cultural heritage. The center publishes books on Tel Aviv's modernist architecture and produces exhibitions. For example, Gross has published the publications "Preservation and Renewal: Bauhaus and Buildings in International Style in Tel Aviv" (2015) and "Between Private and Public Areas" (2016).

In collaboration with various academic institutions, Gross is actively involved in several research projects relating to modernist architecture and its preservation and maintenance.
