Michael Bitz

Michael Bitz (born February 11, 1943 in Berlin ) is a German economist and former professor of business administration and banking and finance at the University of Hagen . He was 28 February 2011 emeritus .

Live and act

After graduating from high school, Michael Bitz studied business administration and mathematics at the Philipps University of Marburg , at the Free University of Berlin and at the Saarland University . He graduated with a degree in business administration .

He received his doctorate in 1971 on plans and measures for wealth creation and completed his habilitation in 1976 on the structuring of economic decision-making models with Wolfgang Stützel at the University of Saarland.

From 1976 to 2011 he was a full professor for banking and finance at the Distance University in Hagen. In the meantime, he declined a number of calls and a. to the University of Hohenheim , the University of Gießen , the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the University of Cologne .

He is known for numerous publications on general business administration , finance, investment and decision theory.

In his research, he deals with benefit-theoretical problems of decisions in the event of uncertainty, with questions of creditor and investor protection, as well as questions of equity capital, especially at credit institutions .
