Michael Grant (writer)

Michael Grant (* 26. July 1954 in Los Angeles as Michael Reynolds ) is an American author. He became known for his books for young people.

Life

Because his parents worked in the military, he often had to move in his childhood. He attended 10 schools in 5 US states and 3 more in France and lived in almost 50 houses. He himself says that he became an author in order not to have to be tied to one place. He lives in Irvine , Southern California with his wife, Katherine Alice Applegate , a science fiction writer, two children, and lots of animals . Michael Grant has written more than 160 books, most of them co-authored with his wife. They are above all books for young adults. His greatest success so far is the six-part book series Gone .
