Michael Kleine-Cosack (born 1942 ) is a German lawyer. He received his doctorate in 1986 from the University of Freiburg im Breisgau . He is a specialist lawyer for administrative law and runs a law firm in Freiburg.

In 1989, Kleine-Cosack criticized an antiquated code of honor of the bar associations , which "opened the door to arbitrary professional sanctions", as "previous honorary judicial practice" shows. With his considerations, he prepared the way for the repeal of the professional standards .

In January 2012 he filed a constitutional complaint on behalf of Gustl Mollath against the decisions of the Higher Regional Court of Bamberg and the Regional Court of Bayreuth. In doing so, he sought the release of the justice victim Mollath from the closed psychiatry.

Kleine-Cosack frequently handles constitutional and human rights complaints . Among other things, in 2012 he achieved a success for his client at the European Court of Human Rights . As the property owner, he should not have been obliged to tolerate hunting on his land (" forced hunting ").
