Michael Wamithi is a Kenyan animal ecologist and director of the Kenya State Wildlife Service .

Michael Wamithi has worked for the service since 1988. He was East Africa Regional Director of the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) in Nairobi. Wamithi advocates strict hunting bans for large African game.
