Michel Melot
Michel Melot (born August 9, 1943 in Blois ) is a French librarian and art historian .
Life
After receiving his diploma as “Archivist paleographe” at the École nationale des chartes in 1967, Melot worked at the Bibliothèque nationale de France from 1967 to 1983, initially as a curator and from 1981 as head of the Département des Estampes et de la Photographie . From 1983 to 1989 he worked as library director of the Bibliothèque publique d'information of the Center Georges-Pompidou .
