Microsoft Message Queue Server

Microsoft Message Queue Server ( MSMQS ) is a Windows system service of Microsoft Message Queuing ( MSMQ ), a queue for Windows operating systems provide.

This product enables two applications to communicate with each other even if the target applications cannot be reached, for example because they are on another computer that is not currently running. For this purpose, the data is saved and output as soon as the target application can be reached again. This is important, for example, for security-critical applications when messages have to arrive in any case.

Only the first version of the Microsoft Message Queue Server was sold as a separate product. The Message Queue Server has been part of the operating system since Windows 2000 .
