Songsmith is a Microsoft Research program that was first introduced in early 2009. It can record vocals and automatically add a suitable accompaniment to it. The program was started as a research project by Microsoft Research in cooperation with the University of Washington and is now being continued by Microsoft alone. Despite the experimental nature of the application, Microsoft sells Songsmith for a license price of $ 30.

distribution

The program is written in C ++ and is based on the .NET Framework . Microsoft produced its own commercial for Songsmith, in which the program itself was used.
