Fairchild serial EEPROM with microwire bus

Microwire is a bus system ( Synchronous Serial Port ) developed by National Semiconductor . It is based on SPI , but defines the protocol a little more strictly. National tried to introduce this interface with its microcontrollers , but didn't have too much success with it.

The protocol is currently still integrated in many National chips. Due to the SPI basis, they can still be addressed with any SPI interface.
