Middelsbur

Middelsbur is a village in Westerbur , a district of the municipality of Dornum in East Frisia . It is located about 500 meters east-northeast of Westerbur. The main town of the municipality, Dornum, is about three kilometers away in a west-southwest direction. In 2016 the Westerbur district had 284 inhabitants. Separate figures for Middelsbur are not available. The place name is derived from the location of the village between Westerbur and Osterbur . It means middle peasantry . Middelsbur had 126 residents in 1848, spread over 22 residential buildings.
