The Middle Walls ( English ; Polish Pośrednie Ściany , partition walls ' ) are large rocky outcrops in the Arctowski Mountains of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They rise up in the center of the western flank of the Mount Hopeful massif above the Poznan Glacier .
Polish scientists named them in 1981 after their geographical location.
