Midia Năvodari (now CS Năvodari) is a Romanian football club from Năvodari . This was founded in 1993 and plays its home games in the Flacăra stadium , which offers space for 5,000 spectators.

history

The club was founded in 1993 under the name Midia Năvodari .

The club had played in League II for a decade , with every year being in a promotion battle. The best results were second in the table at the end of Divizia B 1999/00 and Divizia B 2004/05 . Leonida Nedelcu was the team's coach until the end of the contract in April 2003 . Ionel Melenco then took on the role of trainer.

The resignation of the main sponsor Petromidia finally led to the dissolution of the club in 2008.

In the summer of 2010, the city had a team in Liga II again after Săgeata Stejaru moved to Năvodari and changed her name to Săgeata Năvodari .

In the summer of 2015, after the dissolution of Săgeata Năvodari , CS Năvodari was re-established as a football section.
