Midori ( , Japanese for "green") is a free and cross-platform planned web browser . It is part of the Xfce environment. Midori has been a member of the Astian Foundation project since 2019.

Details

While the Linux version was released in version 8.0 in February 2019, the 32-bit Windows version has remained at version 0.5.11 since September 2015, and an Android version is in beta.

Midori is written in Vala , the user interface is implemented under GTK + . The GTK + version of WebKit is used for HTML rendering .

With the help of user scripts and styles , websites can be changed according to your own needs, similar to the Greasemonkey extension.

The browser contains an ad blocker that supports external filters. Cookies can also be managed.

Due to the minimalist surface, the browser is fast and resource-saving.
