Miflaga Libralit Chadascha ( Hebrew מפלגה ליברלית חדשה, New Liberal Party ) was a political party in Israel .

history

When five members of the Likud left the Likud on March 15, 1990 during the 12th government, they founded Miflaga LeKidum haRajon haZioni ( Hebrew המפלגה לקִדּוּם הרַעְיוֹן הצִיּוֹנִי, Party for the Advancement of the Zionist Idea ). Formerly these members of parliament belonged to the Miflaga Liberalit Jisra'elit , which was incorporated into the Likud in 1988. The new party took part in the government coalition under Yitzhak Shamirs , and Yitzchak Modai was appointed finance minister. On June 18, 1990 Avraham Sharir returned to Likud, just as Yosef Goldberg did on December 4, 1990. In March 1992, shortly before the 1992 elections, they chose the party name Miflaga Libralit Chadascha ( Hebrew מפלגה ליברלית חדשה, New Liberal Party ). Even so, she received only 0.6% of the vote, did not reach the 1.5% threshold and did not get into the Knesset.
