Mihail Movilă or Mihăilaş ( Little Michael ) was Prince of Moldova from September 24, 1607 to October 1607 and from November to December 1607 .

Life

Mihail Movilă was the son of Simion Movilă († September 24, 1607) and his wife Marghita, who came from the Polish nobility. His brothers included the later Moldovan prince Moise Movilă (ruled 1630-1634) and the Wallachian ruler Gavril Movilă (ruled 1616 and 1618-1620).

Mihail came to the throne in 1607 after his father Simion was poisoned. But he was soon ousted by his mother's sister-in-law, Elisabeta, who brought her own son Constantin Movila to power.

Mihail fled to the court of the Wallachian prince Radu Șerban in December 1607 , where he died soon after. His grave is in Dealu Monastery .
