Zdravo Marijo ( Ave Maria ) is the tenth studio album by the Croatian singer Severina . The album was released in 2008 on Dallas Records .
background
The composer and producer was Goran Bregović . All lyrics, except for the song "Haljinica lila boje", which was written by Nikola Pejaković , were written by Marina Tucaković and Ljiljana Jorgovanović .
The album is a mixture of pop and folk , which is why it was received with skepticism by the Croatian media due to the accusation that there were strong influences of the Serbian turbo folk .
Despite this criticism, the album was a great success (including gold for 10,000 records sold in Slovenia ), especially the songs "Gas, gas", "Tridesete" and "Gade" became big hits all over ex- Yugoslavia .
