Mikula (Novgorod)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mikula was governor of Novgorod (before 1117).

Life

There is no further information about himself. He was the 11th or 13th governor of Novgorod.

He was possibly identical to Mikula, to whom a birch bark text was addressed.

progeny

He had at least two sons

  • Petrulin, governor of Novgorod (1131–1132)
  • Koznyatin, governor of Novgorod (1135–1136)

Possibly the family were descendants of Dobrynja , the first governor of Novgorod for the Rurikid princes of Kiev .
