Miltokythes (mercenary)
Miltokythes ( Greek Μιλτοκύθης Miltokýthēs ) was a Thracian mercenary leader at the end of the 5th and beginning of the 4th century BC. Chr.
Miltokythes was initially in the service of the Persian prince Cyrus the Younger and supported him in the fight for the Persian crown against Cyrus' brother Artaxerxes II. After the lost battle of Kunaxa in 401 BC. He changed sides and entered the service of Artaxerxes II.
