Helene Lauterböck

Helene Lauterböck (born January 16, 1895 in Vienna ; † March 13, 1990 in Langenfeld , Germany) was an Austrian actress .

Life

After high school and attending a theater school, Helene Lauterböck made her debut in Olmütz in 1913 in a performance of the play Minna von Barnhelm . Further stations in her stage career were Baden near Vienna , the Volksbühne Wien , from 1917 to 1921 she played in Vienna at the Burg and from 1924 to 1934 in the Volkstheater . Another location of her was at the Central Theater in Dresden . In 1938 after the " Anschluss of Austria " she was banned from performing. From 1945 she was able to play again at the Vienna Volkstheater and was made an honorary member as its long-standing supporter of the ensemble. In 1983 she gave her farewell performance from the stage in Uncle Vanya . Her theater roles included Elisabeth in Maria Stuart , Kriemhild and Brunhild in Die Nibelungen , Marthe Schwerdtlein in Faust and Lady Milford in Kabale und Liebe .

From 1934 Lauterböck was also a film actress, primarily in Viennese films . In the 1950s she was repeatedly seen as a high, noble lady-in-waiting in magnificent period films, including Countess Sophie Esterházy in part two and part three of the Sissi trilogy. For the season 1972/1973 she received the Karl Skraup Prize .

Helene Lauterböck was 95 years old and was buried on April 9, 1990 at the Vienna Central Cemetery (group 42C row 10 grave 22).
