Compensatory allowance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The compensatory allowance is a benefit from the Austrian social insurance system that is granted in addition to the calculated pension so that a minimum income is achieved. The equalization allowance itself is the difference between the pension due, other creditable net income and the equalization allowance reference rate, which is adjusted every year by ordinance by the Ministry of Social Affairs (2015: single pension recipients € 872.31, married couples in the same household € 1,307.89).

In order to receive a compensatory allowance, the usual place of residence must be in Germany.

In the Federal Republic of Germany, a similar objective is aimed at providing basic security in old age and in the case of reduced earning capacity , but which must be applied for from the local social welfare institution .
