Minet is the ancient Egyptian name of a city in Wadjit , the 10th Upper Egyptian Gau. The place could not be localized with certainty within the Gau, but it may have been a district or suburb of Tjebu ( Qau el-Kebir ), as a statue called Minet was found near the city. Sobek , Neferit and Anubis appear as deities of Minet in Egyptian texts .
