Graffiti of a minifig

Minifig is the name for play figures made by the Danish toy manufacturer , especially among adult LEGO fans . The LEGO Group calls this figure minifigure .

The figures were introduced in 1978 after copying the design of the Playmobil figures published in 1974 . These replaced the earlier, simpler figures that had no movable arms, legs and faces. The term minifig is mainly used in connection with brick films ( stop-motion films with Lego figures ).

The minifigure is 40.1 mm high, plus the headgear. This corresponds to the height of four LEGO bricks.
