The Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics in Iran (English: Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL); Persian : وزارت دفاع و پشتیبانی پشتیبانی نیروهای دفاع) is the reconstructed 1989 Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran .
The Ministry is responsible for the planning, logistics and financing of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while the General Staff , an independent institution under the command of the Supreme Leader of Iran , has control over the armed forces. The ministry is considered one of the three “sovereign” ministries of Iran due to its activities at home and abroad.
