Minshuku

As Minshuku ( Jap. 民宿 , literally. People Hotel ) in are Japan Family pensions referred. Using a hostel like this provides one of the best ways for visitors to the country to spend the night with Japanese. Minshuku are mostly family businesses, where guests are treated almost like members of the family. The cost of an overnight stay is around 5000 yen , including two meals (dinner, breakfast, mostly Japanese) , as with the ryokan . There are no service charges or overnight taxes, but the minshuku often do not offer yukata (light cotton kimono ) or toilet articles like the ryokan. Here, too , you sleep on futons , which you put back in a shelf in the morning. Minshuku hosts are usually very open-minded. The familiar atmosphere facilitates conversations, as most of the younger Minshuku users speak English.
