The FC Ruggell (Ruggell football club) is the football club of the community Ruggell in Liechtenstein . The association, founded in 1958 , has 225 members, the association colors are green and white.
The men's team currently plays in the 2nd Swiss league . The club reached the final of the Liechtenstein Football Cup six times, most recently in 2007, but has never won the competition.
Until 2008, FC Ruggell was the only Liechtenstein football club with its own women's team. This was quite successful and took at times even in the game now the Swiss National League A part. After relegation in 2006, the team played for two years in the National League B , where it was able to return to the top division in the 2007/2008 season. However, the club withdrew the women's team from playing for financial reasons.
