The FC Schaan is the Soccer Team of Liechtenstein community Schaan .
History and structure
The association was founded in 1949. With three victories in the Liechtenstein Football Cup , FC Schaan is the fifth most successful club in the country after FC Vaduz , FC Balzers , FC Triesen and USV Eschen-Mauren . The club has over 300 members, the club colors are blue and white. FC Schaan currently plays in the 4th Swiss league , i. H. the eighth highest division.
By winning the cup in 1994, FC Schaan was able to play in the Cup winners' Cup against the Bulgarian club Pirin Blagoewgrad , against whom they were eliminated with an overall result of 0: 4.
In addition to the first team, FC Schaan II will also take part in the Liechtenstein Cup .
The current department of FC Azzurri Schaan was established on May 20, 1970 to give Italian guest workers in Liechtenstein a space to practice football. Since the 2018/19 season, they only have one senior team.
