Me (carpet)
A Mir , whose word origin is traced back to the village names of the same name Mir and Mirshi in the south of Ardabil, is an oriental carpet knotted according to the Mir pattern . It is made in the western Persian regions of Mirabad, Sarugh and Serabend, Tabris and Kerman .
The Mir pattern is a constant field pattern and is also called Mir-e-Boteh (or Mir-i-bota ) or "flea pattern" . It is repeated over and over again on a red, dark blue or, more rarely, a cream-colored background.
