Miro (unit)

The Miro was an Italian volume measure for oil in the Venetian province under Austrian sovereignty. There was a slight difference in measure between Venice and Verona .

  • Venice
    • 1 Miro = 768 ¾ Parisian cubic inches = 15.79 liters
    • 1 Botta = 2 Migliaja = 80 Miri
    • 1 miro = 25 libbre tall (heavy pounds) when sold by weight
  • Verona
    • 1 Miro = 741 ½ Parisian cubic inches = 14 7/8 liters
