Mishima ( Japanese 箕 島 ) is a now uninhabited island of Ōmura , Japan , which was artificially enlarged from 0.9 km² to 2.4 km² between 1972 and 1975 in the course of a construction project . The former 66 residents agreed to their relocation. Nagasaki Airport is located on the island .
