Miss Azerbaijan
Miss Azerbaijan is an annual national beauty pageant for unmarried women in Azerbaijan . Domestically he is called Miss Azərbaycan , occasionally also in English Miss Azerbaijan (Russian: Мисс Азербайджан). It was organized from 1997 to 2006 by the AN model agency . Candidates from Azerbaijan have so far participated in the international competitions for Miss Intercontinental and Miss Tourism Queen International .
In 2010 the competition was brought back to life by a new organization under the managing director Ulviya Konul .
Since 2000 there has also been an annual competition for the Best Model of Azerbaijan (female and male). Of the female winners, at least Lalə Eyvazova and Aliya Matkazina have so far taken part in the Miss Tourism Queen International .
