The Mit-Mach-Mühle was a participatory program of the KiKA , which was aimed at children of preschool age and was intended to encourage them to tinker various objects according to given tips, to paint pictures and, if necessary, to send them to the KiKA. The program, moderated by Juri Tetzlaff and Singa Gätgens , was discontinued in 2011.

action

Juri and Singa - the two presenters of the show - and Feli Filu, a blue monster girl, lived and worked in a mill. They always discovered something new and exciting that interested them or came up with their own ideas. One of the characters came up with a tip for doing handicrafts or experiments, which was explained and the result demonstrated.

In the second part of the program, the children were encouraged by a certain event to paint pictures or to make something specific and send it in. (Example: The snail spills paint on the meadow and then, in order to get rid of it, forms a certain snail track, from which the children are to draw a picture in which the shape of the snail track appears.)

Between these two parts - either by the snail Paula or by Spider Pit together with one of the two moderators - the pictures sent by children were viewed. Some of these pictures were rewarded with a small gift.

Characters

In addition to the two moderators Juri and Singa, there were other invented characters in the framework story:

  • Feli Filu is a blue, bright monster girl who is also known from Sesame Street . It is the only character that was played as a doll.
  • The frog lived in the frog pond and never appeared visually, but could only be heard over the phone.
  • Brush snail Paula Paletta pursued her painting activity in her hedge studio, and presented special children's pictures on the canvas in the garden, which she then presented with a gift. Like Pit, she was computer animated.
  • Mail sorting spider Pit sorted the picture mail that arrived in sacks using a mail sorting system and looked at some of the pictures with Juri or Singa.
