Mitford Old Manor House is the ruins of a mansion in the village of Mitford in the English county of Northumberland . English Heritage has it as a historical building II *. Grade listed. The basic rule Mitford belonged since the Middle Ages the family Mitford .

The mansion stood adjacent to the old Maria Magdalena Church on the east bank of the River Wansbeck . The extensive ruins are the remains of the house from the 16th century and a tower in front from around 1637.

The Mitford family had the original house largely demolished and rebuilt around 1810. The family gave up the house in 1828 when they moved into their new country house, Mitford Hall , in a park across the river. In the 20th century, what was left of the kitchen wing of Mitford Old Manor House was transformed into a modern home.
