Central German Society of Jurisprudence

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Central German Society of Jurisprudence (MDGI for short) is a politically neutral association. Membership is open to young lawyers, economists and those interested in other fields.

The MDGI was founded in Lutherstadt Wittenberg on June 9, 2006 and pursues the maintenance of law in Central Germany and the Berlin-Brandenburg region . The association organizes events with the aim of bringing lawyers from different professional groups into conversation with one another and enabling an exchange of ideas and experiences on legal, political and general issues. Another endeavor of the association is to promote the next generation of lawyers and to enable them to relate to practice through trips to the places of "lived" legal science.

On the occasion of the Reformation Decade, the MDGI is organizing a series of symposiums “The Young Luther”. The kick-off event took place under the title “Sustainability of Central German Universities” in Leucorea , Lutherstadt Wittenberg.
