Miya Records

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Miya Records is a Taiwan- based company that sells unlicensed CDs and DVDs , known as bootlegs , by popular Japanese artists (e.g. Ayumi Hamasaki ) worldwide. Miya Records also reproduces games and anime soundtracks without a license from the original label.

The CDs and DVDs themselves often look very similar to the original, but due to the lack of region restrictions on DVDs, as well as the black logo and the series designations MICA (for soundtracks), MICP (for J-Pop CDs) and MIDP (for DVDs), they are easy to close detect. In addition, on closer inspection, they are of inferior quality. Most of these black copies in the US and Europe through online auction sites like eBay or Yahoo sold! -Auctions.

Other such bootleg companies that specialize in Japanese CDs, especially anime soundtracks, are SonMay Records , Alion or EverAnime .
