Mnesitheos of Athens

Mnesitheos of Athens (around 380 BC ) was a Greek doctor . As far as we know today, Mnesitheos was particularly concerned with dietetics , in which he applied platonic ideas to medical practice. Only fragments of Mnesitheo's work are left . The fragments contain systematic lists of edible marine animals . In terms of the history of science , the texts of Mnesitheo acquire a certain significance due to their tendency towards systematization.
