Mochiru Hoshisato ( Japanese 星 里 も ち る Hoshisato Mochiru ; born January 1, 1961 in Kitakyūshū , Fukuoka , Japan ) is a Japanese manga artist .

Hochisato drew his first manga for a publisher in 1986 with Kiken ga Walking . This was published by Tokuma Shoten publishing house. There he published more manga for the manga magazines Petit Apple Pie and Shōnen Captain until the early 1990s . At the end of 1990 he switched to the Shogakukan publishing house, where he recorded his first successes for various his magazines. His most famous manga is Living Game .

In Japan, Hochisato is one of the most important comic strip authors of romantic comedies for adult men. As a rule, his works do not contain any eroticism; he convinces his fans more through his depth of character. Hochisato's drawings are mostly simple and show a lot of grid foil, especially in romantic moments .

The manga artist Naoe Kikuchi worked as his assistant.
