ModellFan is a German magazine for model making . It appears monthly with a sold circulation of 12,152 copies by GeraMond Verlag and is the leading German-language magazine for model making. Until December 2019, the magazine was the official organ of the German Plastic Modeling Association DPMV. (DPMV has expired)

history

The magazine was founded in 1974 by Schünemann Verlag . Since 1976, the magazine has been presenting the “Model of the Year” award at the Nuremberg Toy Fair . The November 2009 edition of the ModellFan was first published by GeraMond Verlag in Munich. In 2010 the magazine was merged with Kit magazine .

content

ModellFan deals with models of vehicles, airplanes, ships, figures and dioramas. Construction reports on current model kits as well as conversions and self-construction are printed. In addition, the technology of model making, materials, tools and colors are dealt with in detail. In addition, there are step-by-step instructions, presentations of the new models, book reviews and overviews of manufacturers and specialist dealers.
