Erzgebirge model railway country
The Modellbahnland Erzgebirge is a model railway display system opened in 2001 in the Schönfeld district of the Wiesenbad thermal bath community. At the end of the 1990s, the idea of a model railway exhibition with a thematic focus on the Ore Mountains was born. Still in the shell construction stage, only the substructure and the tracks had already been laid, the facility was opened to the public in December 2001. The visitors were thus able to see the progress in landscaping on multiple visits.
