Mogens Pihl

Mogens Pihl (born April 22, 1907 in Frederiksberg , † March 17, 1986 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish physicist.

He studied from 1927 to 1929 at the University of Göttingen with Robert Wichard Pohl and Max Born and in 1931 obtained his master's degree. In 1935 he received the gold medal from the University of Copenhagen . In 1939 he received his PhD with the dissertation " The physicist LV Lorenz : a critical investigation ". phil. Until 1957 he worked mainly as a university lecturer. 1951–1952 he was a mathematics professor in Monrovia , Liberia, where he helped to set up a science faculty. He also had teaching contracts with the Danish Naval Academy and the Royal Danish School of Educational Studies . 1957-1977 he was a physics professor at the University of Copenhagen.
