Mohammad Ali Kazemeyni Borudscherdi

Mohammad Ali Kazemeini Boroujerdi († 2002 in Iran ) was an Iranian Ayatollah .

He rejected the Iranian theocracy established after the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and was most recently under house arrest. Borudscherdi died in a hospital in 2002 under unexplained circumstances. Shortly after his death, the mosque where he taught was confiscated by the authorities. The Nur mosque in which his son, Hossein Kazemeyni Borudscherdi , buried him was expropriated and the grave desecrated.
