Mohammad Farhad

Mohammad Farhad is an Afghan politician. He belongs to the Pashtun people and was mayor of the city of Kunduz from 2009 to November 2010 , after being chief of police there from 2001 to 2003. From 2011 and at least until 2012, Farhad was again active as police chief in Kunduz.

On November 16, 2010, he was attacked by explosives. His brother and a candidate for the general election were killed. Farhad and four other people were injured while visiting a cemetery.
