Mohammad al-ʿAnbar ( Arabic محمد العنبر, DMG Muḥammad al-ʿAnbar ; * March 22, 1985 ) is a former Saudi Arabian soccer player . He won the Saudi Arabian championship three times.

Career

The young striker al-Anbar's football career began with al-Hilal , the team to which the Saudi Arabian star striker Sami al-Jabir has also been under contract since the 1990s. It was established as the successor to al-Jabir. From 2004 he was used in the cup and championship and won both titles in 2005 and the cup again in 2006.

Since 2004 he has also played for the Saudi Arabian national team and scored an important goal in qualifying for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Alongside al-Jabir and Yassir al-Qahtani , he was supposed to be the third al-Hilal striker in Saudi Arabia's World Cup squad , but injured himself shortly before the start of the tournament and was replaced by Muhammad al-Bischi .

In 2010 he left al-Hilal and played for three smaller clubs. He ended his career in 2012.
