Momoe Yamaguchi

Momoe Yamaguchi ( Japanese 山口 百 恵 , Yamaguchi Momoe ; born January 17, 1958 in Shibuya , Tokyo ) is a Japanese singer, actress and Japanese idol .

She was born in the Shibuya district of Tokyo and grew up in Kanagawa Prefecture until her debut . In 1973 she made her debut as a singer. She later became known as an actress in the television series Star Tanjo . Her song Fuyu no Iro reached number one on the Japanese charts in 1974. In the eight years of her career, she released 32 singles and 21 albums. After her marriage to the actor Tomokazu Miura in 1980, she ended her career.
