Monarch (hi-fi equipment)

Monarch was a hi-fi brand owned by the Bremen -based electronics supplier Inter-Mercador, renamed Monacor International in 2000.

Monarch was founded in the 1960s. The parent company Inter-Mercador was responsible for the conception and marketing of the Monarch devices in cooperation with Japanese hi-fi manufacturers. Hi-fi devices such as tuners , amplifiers and receivers were manufactured in Japan under the Monarch and partially Monacor brands .
