Mondial Air Ballons is the largest European balloon festival and one of the largest in the world. It takes place every two years at the airfield Chambley-Bussières in the region Grand Est in France instead.

The festival was founded in 1989 by Philippe Buron-Pilâtre. Usually 800 to 1000 hot air balloons are present, pilots from over 50 countries and up to 400,000 spectators with free entry. In 2017 the world record was achieved with the largest hot air balloon mass start with 456 balloons.
