As Montgolfiade be hot air balloon -meeting referred. Various competitions are held between the individual balloon teams, often on several consecutive days: target approach, time trials and others. There is often the possibility of taking a ride in the balloon as a passenger and posting a kind of balloon mail . A so-called balloon glow often takes place at dusk. The name Montgolfiade is derived from the Montgolfier brothers , who were the first to construct a hot air balloon.
