Mondopoint

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mondopoint (abbreviated MP ) is the name for the only shoe size system that was defined by an ISO standard (ISO 9407) in 1991.

The unit is millimeters , the reference values are the foot length and width, the reference point is 0 mm and is therefore comparable to the Japanese shoe size system, which, however, uses the unit centimeter and does not specify the foot width. Ski boots are graded with the same differences and yet with the designation Mondopoint or MP .

So far, the Mondopoint system has only been able to establish itself in full for military and safety shoes . The shoe size of 280/110, for example, corresponds to a foot length of 280 mm and a foot width of 110 mm.
